Acceptance

By accessing or using Dibs on Dirt (dibsondirt.com) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who operates this service

Dibs on Dirt is operated by Steven Christopher Vazquez, a sole proprietor doing business as CampWatch, based in the United States. You can reach us at support@dibsondirt.com.

What the service does

Dibs on Dirt monitors publicly available campsite availability on ReserveCalifornia.com and Recreation.gov and sends you alerts when a site you are watching opens up. That is the whole job.

An alert is not a reservation. Dibs on Dirt does not book campsites, hold sites on your behalf, or guarantee that a site will still be available when you click through. Availability data may be delayed or inaccurate. Always confirm directly on ReserveCalifornia.com or Recreation.gov before making plans.

Subscriptions and billing

Dibs on Dirt is free to use. A free account watches up to two campsites, with date ranges up to 14 days, and gets the evening digest. Premium raises that to five watches with no date-range limit, adds instant alerts the moment a site opens, and adds the 7:45 a.m. reminder before locked ReserveCalifornia sites release.

Premium is a subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged then, until you cancel. Most plans are billed monthly; annual and promotional plans are sometimes offered. The price and the billing period shown on the purchase screen before you confirm are always the ones that govern your subscription.

You can cancel at any time. If you subscribed inside our iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google is the seller. Cancellation happens in the platform's own subscription settings: iOS Settings under your Apple Account, or Subscriptions in the Play Store app. We cannot cancel a store subscription for you. If you subscribed on the web, cancel from the plan card in your account settings. Canceling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you are already in, and you keep Premium until that period ends. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies.

When paid access ends, whether that is after a cancellation takes effect or because the subscription otherwise lapses, we never delete your watches. Your account returns to the free limits and any watches over those limits are paused, oldest kept first. A paused watch stops checking for availability and stops sending alerts, and it stays on your account so it can be resumed if you subscribe again.

No affiliation

Dibs on Dirt, operated by Steven Christopher Vazquez (a sole proprietor doing business as CampWatch), is an independent notification service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ReserveCalifornia, Tyler Technologies, California State Parks, Recreation.gov, the National Park Service, or the U.S. federal government.

SMS program terms

SMS alerts aren't live yet. This program is coming soon for Premium members, and the terms below describe how it will work once it launches.

Program name: Dibs on Dirt campsite alerts.

By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated SMS alerts from Dibs on Dirt about campsite availability. Message frequency varies based on your watched sites and campsite activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help or contact us at support@dibsondirt.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Acceptable use

Dibs on Dirt is for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:

• Use the service to scrape, harvest, or collect data at scale.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute alerts or data from the service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or abuse the service's infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to interact with the service beyond normal personal use.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Dibs on Dirt makes no guarantee that alerts will be delivered on time, that availability data will be accurate, or that the service will be available without interruption.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dibs on Dirt is not liable for any missed alerts, sold-out campsites, costs you incur in reliance on delayed or inaccurate data, or any other indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
